Hygiene Measures

From Top Rent A Car we take special attention and care in order to provide clean and tidy cars especially now in a state of emergency. It is important to us, to provide safe environment for our customers and employees, therefore we have applied a set of hygiene:

Hand washingWe instruct our employees to wash their hands with soap after serving each customer.
Surface disinfectionOn daily basis, at regular time intervals, we disinfect frequently touched surfaces in our offices.
Wearing a maskAll car rental agents wear face masks at all times. We require our customer to wear one as well.
Hand sanitizerWe provide hand sanitizer available to our customers in each of our offices.
Social distanceWe demand the observance with social distance determined by the state institutions. We allow only one customer in an office. When Renting and Returning the vehicle we observe the client-employee distance.
Car cleaningAll of our cars go under a special car wash and they are treated with disinfectant.

Distance Booking

Choose the secure way of communication – book your vehicle from home. You can make your reservation fast and easy on our website (with additional discount) and over the phone at +359 700 89 050 and +359 890 170 170.

For your convenience you can book with delivery to address of your choice. This will avoid traveling to a location, limit contact with crowds of people and reduce the risk of contracting the virus. Delivery is charged extra according to the price list, which can be found here.


Virtual voucher

If you are forced to cancel your reservation last minute (less then 72 hours before the beginning of the rent), due to State of emergency declared in your country I border lockdown and your flight has been cancelled because of that, then the cancellation period is extended until the moment of pick-up.

In this type of cancellations there are no additional fees and the full prepaid amount will be kept as a credit for your next reservations. The prepaid amount will not be refunded, but a virtual voucher will be issued for the amount of the prepaid amount. You can use these vouchers in the next 12 months for your future rents.

If your flight has been cancelled due to a declaration of an Emergency state and you were not able to use the vehicle, but have not informed us before the rent begins, then the prepaid amount is kept as a forfeit in full.

  • Are all your offices open?
  • All of Top Rent A Car offices (except the seasonal ones) continue to work. You can book a vehicle with collection or return at any airport in Bulgaria, office in the city or with delivery to address of your choice. List with locations of our offices you can find here.

    We want to pay special attention to the fact that our office at Terminal 1, Sofia does not work in connection with the special regime of the airport itself. We serve clients at the Terminal 2 office, which can be reached by the free shuttle provided from the airport.
  • Can I book a car for one way rental?
  • After a request it is possible for a delivery to be made or for the vehicle to be returned to different city or Top Rent A Car Office. You can find more information here.
  • Can I book a vehicle for a trip outside of Bulgaria?
  • We offer the opportunity to visit our neighbor countries with the rented cars upon prior request and approval. The destinations to which you can travel are Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania. More information for the Terms and Conditions for a rental outside of the country you can find here.
  • How can I change or cancel a booking made with Top Rent A Car?
  • In case that you have change in plans or your flight is cancelled, please contact us as soon as possible in order to inform us about the changes.
    Confirmed booking can be cancelled/changed up to 72 hours prior to the start of the rental period without any additional charges. In case of cancellation/change that has occurred less than 72 hours prior to the start of the rental period a fee of 15% of the total amount of the booking but no less than 1 rental day will apply.
  • How can I amend or cancel a booking made through broker or travel agency?
  • In case that you want to change or cancel reservation which has been made with any of our partners please contact them directly.
  • What do I have to do in case that I become infected with COVID-19 and I have rented a car from you?
  • If you arrive from a country with high risk and you need to be quarantined, please let us know in advance. In this case the vehicle must be booked by you for a period longer than the period of possible quarantine.
    If you get infected during the rental period and you need to be put under quarantine please contact us immediately. In case that you don’t have the ability to return the vehicle in the period stated in the Rental agreement, we might have to charge you for additional rental days.
  • If my flight has been cancelled in the last moment by the airline can I expect to receive a voucher for the prepaid amount?
  • If the reason for the flight cancellation is not connected with the declaration of State of emergency and border lockdown, the standard Terms & Conditions apply.
