On June 6, 2026, the town of Momchilgrad once again became the capital of trail running, welcoming hundreds of participants and outdoor enthusiasts for another edition of Rhodo Rock – one of the fastest-growing trail running events in Bulgaria. The race took runners through some of the most scenic areas of the Eastern Rhodope Mountains, combining sporting challenge, breathtaking views, and an unforgettable atmosphere.
Participants could choose from several race distances according to their level of preparation and ambition – 9 km, 21 km, 42 km, and 60 km. The longest route featured more than 2,400 meters of elevation gain, turning the race into a true test of endurance, determination, and character.
In addition to the competitive races, the organizers also prepared children’s runs and a hiking route, transforming the event into a celebration for the whole family.
Rhodo Rock is a joint initiative of the teams behind iRun.bg and K3 Ultra, organized with the support of the Municipality of Momchilgrad. Over the past few years, the race has established itself as one of Bulgaria’s most recognizable trail running events, attracting participants from both Bulgaria and abroad thanks to its unique routes and authentic Rhodope atmosphere.
