This year in the period 30.07 – 01.08. the 9-th edition of the Eco Rally was held, organized by Union of Bulgarian Motorists, Automobile Federation of Bulgaria and “Interspeed New Generation” Sports Club. The competition started from the capital’s Alexander I Battenberg Square and ended on the territory of Sofia Tech Park with the participation of 11 teams with 100% electric cars, including 2 teams of Top Rent A Car.
The motto of this year’s Eco E-rally Bulgaria was:
“In the footsteps of the Thracians”
“From the dynamics of our time – in the past.”
“From the traffic in the beautiful homeland on highways and roads – to the cities of the glorious historical event – the April Uprising!”
The rally covered a 473-kilometer route filled with picturesque views from the native Revival history – Koprivshtitsa, Karlovo, Kalofer, Strelcha, Panagyurishte and others.
The charging of the electric cars was ensured by the company eCars, which provided mobile charging stations for the participants.
After a 3-day contested race, the team of Top Rent A Car with crew Milen Marinov and Radoslav Marinov deservedly won the cup for the first place in the overall ranking.
The other crew of the company with representatives Irina Marinova and Nikoleta Ivanova managed to take 6-th place in the ranking. Both teams of the leading car rental company performed successfully, driving brand new electric cars VW ID.3.
The representatives of Top Rent A Car were left with pleasant emotions from the car race and expressed positive impressions of the organization of the event.
At Eco E-rally Bulgaria 2021 were presented the latest technologies in the automotive industry and eco-innovation – lower energy consumption combined with the necessary comfort and safety while driving.
